LEARGIT TERMS OF USE

Welcome to Leargit.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Leargit website and services (“Leargit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By registering for an account or using Leargit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not register for or use the Leargit services.
1. About Leargit
Leargit is a mutual contact-sharing platform that allows registered participants to voluntarily submit their own contact information and, subject to the platform’s rules and eligibility requirements, access contact information submitted by other participating users.
The platform may allow eligible participants to generate and download VCF files containing names and phone numbers submitted by other participants.
Leargit does not operate as a public Internet directory.
2. Eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating your Leargit account.
You must also meet any minimum age requirement communicated by Leargit.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Leargit is lawful in your location.
Leargit may refuse registration, suspend an account, or terminate access where we reasonably believe that an account is being used in violation of these Terms, applicable law, or the proper operation of the platform.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password, and other account credentials.
You must not:
– Share your password with another person;
– Allow another person to use your account;
– Create an account using false or misleading information;
– Impersonate another person; or
– Use another person’s account without authorization.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
If you believe that someone has gained unauthorized access to your account, you should take appropriate steps to secure the account and contact Leargit.
4. Voluntary Contact Submission
Leargit requires participating users to submit their own phone number in order to participate in the contact-sharing system.
By submitting your name and phone number, you understand that your submitted contact information may be made available to other eligible Leargit participants through the platform’s VCF functionality.
You should only submit your own contact information.
You must not submit another person’s phone number or personal information as though it were your own.
5. Mutual Contact Sharing
Leargit’s contact-sharing system is based on mutual participation.
A participant who submits their own phone number may become eligible to access contact information submitted by other participating users, subject to Leargit’s applicable access rules.
Contact availability may depend on the location selected by the participating users and other rules or limits that Leargit may introduce.
Leargit may change the way contact access works as the platform develops.
6. VCF Downloads
Eligible users may generate and download VCF files containing contact information made available through Leargit.
The VCF contains the submitted name and phone number of applicable participants.
Location information is not included in the VCF.
Once you download a VCF file, you are responsible for how you store, use, transfer, or otherwise handle the contacts contained in it.
Leargit cannot control or retrieve a copy of a VCF after it has been downloaded and saved to another person’s device.
7. Responsible Use of Contact Information
You agree to use contact information obtained through Leargit responsibly and lawfully.
You must not use Leargit contacts for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, harassing, deceptive, or harmful purposes.
You must not use Leargit to facilitate:
– Harassment or intimidation;
– Fraud or scams;
– Identity theft;
– Impersonation;
– Unlawful surveillance;
– Threats or abuse;
– Spam or other unlawful communications;
– Any activity that violates applicable privacy or data-protection laws; or
– Any other unlawful activity.
You remain responsible for complying with applicable laws when contacting people whose information you obtained through Leargit.
8. No Guarantee of Consent for Every Subsequent Contact
Leargit facilitates voluntary participation in a contact-sharing system.
However, obtaining someone’s phone number through Leargit does not automatically mean that the person has consented to every type of communication you may wish to send to them.
You are responsible for using appropriate judgment and complying with applicable laws when contacting another person.
For example, the availability of a phone number through a Leargit VCF does not by itself authorize you to send unlawful, excessive, deceptive, or unwanted communications.
9. Removal of Contact Information
A participant may remove their submitted contact information from Leargit using the removal functionality provided by the platform.
Once removed, the contact should no longer appear in future VCF files generated through Leargit.
However, Leargit cannot delete copies of the contact that another participant has already downloaded and saved outside the platform.
10. Account Deletion
Users may delete their Leargit accounts where the account-deletion functionality is available.
Deleting an account does not give Leargit the ability to retrieve VCF files previously downloaded by other users.
Information may also be retained where necessary for legitimate operational, security, legal, regulatory, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes.
11. Free and Premium Access
Leargit may provide some services free of charge.
We may impose limits on the number of contacts, VCF files, or other services available without payment.
Leargit may introduce premium plans that require payment for additional or continued access.
We reserve the right to change:
– Pricing;
– Premium features;
– Free usage limits;
– Contact or file-generation limits;
– Eligibility requirements; and
– Other aspects of the service.
Leargit may also transition from a free or partially free service to a fully premium service, meaning payment may be required for new participation or continued access to certain features.
Where applicable, the price and relevant conditions will be displayed before a user is required to make a payment.
12. Affiliate and Referral Programme
Leargit may offer an affiliate or referral programme.
Where available, users may receive a referral link or other referral mechanism for inviting new participants.
An affiliate may earn a commission when an eligible person they referred purchases a qualifying premium service, subject to the applicable affiliate programme rules.
Affiliate earnings may be displayed to the affiliate through their Leargit account.
Affiliates do not acquire ownership of Leargit or its user database and are not entitled to receive private personal information about referred users merely because those users registered through their referral.
Leargit may change, suspend, or discontinue the affiliate programme or modify its commission structure at any time, subject to applicable terms governing commissions that have already been earned.
13. Prohibited Activities
You must not use Leargit to:
– Create fake or fraudulent accounts;
– Register using another person’s identity;
– Submit someone else’s phone number as your own;
– Circumvent Leargit’s access or premium restrictions;
– Attempt to access another user’s account;
– Attempt to obtain unauthorized access to Leargit’s database, servers, or systems;
– Interfere with the operation or security of the website;
– Use automated methods to abuse, scrape, overload, or extract data from Leargit;
– Reverse engineer or attempt to reproduce protected portions of the platform;
– Circumvent technical restrictions or security measures;
– Use Leargit for unlawful purposes; or
– Encourage or assist another person in violating these Terms.
14. Platform Availability
We aim to keep Leargit available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee that the platform will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Leargit may temporarily become unavailable because of:
– Maintenance;
– Updates;
– Technical problems;
– Security measures;
– Hosting or infrastructure problems;
– Network failures;
– Events outside our reasonable control; or
– Changes to the platform.
We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features of Leargit at any time.
15. Accuracy of User Information
Leargit relies on information submitted by users.
We do not guarantee that every name or phone number submitted by a participant is accurate, current, complete, or still in use.
Users are responsible for the accuracy of information they submit.
Leargit may take reasonable steps to address inaccurate, abusive, fraudulent, or inappropriate information when brought to our attention.
16. Privacy
Your use of Leargit is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how Leargit collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information.
By using Leargit, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
17. Intellectual Property
The Leargit website, branding, design, software, text, graphics, logos, and other original materials provided by Leargit are owned by or licensed to Leargit and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use Leargit only for its intended purposes.
You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Leargit’s protected platform materials without appropriate authorization.
This does not prevent you from using contact information that you have lawfully downloaded through Leargit for purposes permitted under these Terms and applicable law.
18. User Responsibility
You are responsible for your own actions when using Leargit.
In particular, you are responsible for:
– The information you submit;
– Your account security;
– Your use of downloaded contact information;
– Communications you make to other people;
– Compliance with applicable laws; and
– Any consequences arising from misuse of the platform or information obtained through it.
19. Suspension and Termination
Leargit may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account if we reasonably believe that the user:
– Violated these Terms;
– Misused contact information;
– Attempted to circumvent platform restrictions;
– Engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity;
– Compromised platform security;
– Used false or misleading registration information; or
– Engaged in conduct that may expose Leargit or other users to legal, security, or other significant risks.
Where appropriate, Leargit may also restrict access to particular features rather than terminate the entire account.
20. Changes to Leargit
Leargit may change, improve, remove, or introduce features from time to time.
This may include changes to:
– Contact-sharing rules;
– VCF functionality;
– Free access;
– Premium access;
– File or contact limits;
– Affiliate programmes;
– Account features; and
– Other platform functionality.
Continued use of Leargit after applicable changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
21. Disclaimer
Leargit provides a platform for voluntary contact sharing.
We do not guarantee that:
– Every contact is accurate;
– Every phone number remains active;
– Every user is who they claim to be;
– Every contact will respond to communication;
– The platform will always be available; or
– The platform will meet every user’s particular purpose.
You use Leargit at your own discretion and responsibility.
22. Limitation of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Leargit will not be responsible for consequences arising from a user’s independent misuse of contact information after obtaining or downloading it from the platform.
This includes communications, transactions, relationships, disputes, or other interactions between users that occur outside Leargit.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
23. Governing Law
These Terms shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with applicable laws and regulations governing Leargit and its users.
Where applicable, disputes concerning the operation of Leargit shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in Nigeria.

25. Acceptance of These Terms
By registering for, accessing, or using Leargit, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them.
