LEARGIT PRIVACY POLICY

Leargit (“Leargit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website Leargit.com.ng and provides a platform that allows registered participants to voluntarily share their own contact information with other registered participants through the Leargit contact-sharing system.
We take the privacy of our users seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how information is shared through the platform, and the choices available to users.
By creating a Leargit account or using the Leargit platform, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you register for a Leargit account, we collect the information necessary to create and operate your account.
This includes:
– Username
– Name
– Phone number
– Country
– State
– City
– Password
The country, state, and city are selected manually by the user during registration.
We may also collect certain technical or account-related information that is necessary to create, maintain, secure, authenticate, and allow continued access to a Leargit account. This may include information associated with account registration and login activity.
We do not require users to provide information beyond what is reasonably necessary for the operation of the platform.
2. How Contact Information Is Shared
Leargit is designed around mutual contact sharing.
When a person registers and submits their own name and phone number, they may become eligible to receive contact information from other registered participants who have also voluntarily submitted their own contact information.
Eligible users may generate and download VCF contact files containing contact information submitted by other participants.
The VCF files contain:
– The submitted name; and
– The submitted phone number.
The VCF files do not contain the person’s country, state, or city.
Location information is instead used by Leargit to determine which contacts a participant may be able to access through the platform.
For example, participants who selected the same location during registration may be able to generate contact files containing contacts from that applicable location.
3. Who Can Access Contact Information
Contact information submitted to Leargit is not intended to be publicly available on the Internet.
A person who has not registered with Leargit cannot access or download the Leargit contact files.
Access to the contact-sharing functionality is limited to registered participants who have also submitted their own phone number to the platform.
Accordingly, participation in the contact-sharing system is based on mutual participation: users provide their own contact information in order to participate in the system.
4. Your Choice to Remove Your Contact Information
You may request removal of your submitted contact information from Leargit at any time.
Leargit provides a removal option directly on the same page where users access the contact-file functionality.
Once your contact information is removed from Leargit’s active system, your submitted name and phone number will no longer be included in future VCF files generated through the platform.
However, removing your information from Leargit does not allow us to retrieve or delete copies that another participant may have already downloaded and saved on their device.
Once a VCF file has been downloaded by another participant, that copy is outside Leargit’s control.
5. Account Deletion
You may delete your Leargit account.
Account deletion may result in the removal of your account and associated information from our active systems, subject to information that may need to be retained where required for legitimate operational, security, legal, or regulatory purposes.
Deleting your Leargit account does not allow us to retrieve copies of contact information that other participants may already have downloaded before your account or contact information was removed.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use information collected through Leargit for purposes including:
– Creating and maintaining your Leargit account;
– Authenticating your account when you log in;
– Providing access to Leargit’s contact-sharing functionality;
– Determining which contact groups or location-based contacts are available to you;
– Allowing eligible users to generate VCF files;
– Allowing users to remove their submitted contact information;
– Maintaining the security and integrity of the platform;
– Preventing misuse or unauthorized access;
– Operating, maintaining, and improving Leargit; and
– Complying with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your submitted phone number for our own advertising or marketing purposes.
7. We Do Not Sell Your Contact Information
Leargit does not sell or rent users’ submitted names or phone numbers to third parties.
Leargit is designed to facilitate contact sharing between participating users rather than to operate as a commercial database for selling contact information.
8. Downloaded Contact Files
When an eligible participant downloads a VCF file, the contact information contained in that file may be stored on the participant’s own device.
Leargit does not control what happens to a VCF file after it has been downloaded.
If you remove your information from Leargit after another participant has already downloaded your contact, your removal will prevent your information from appearing in future Leargit-generated VCF files, but it cannot automatically remove copies that have already been saved elsewhere.
9. Location Information
Leargit collects the country, state, and city selected by a user during registration.
This information is used primarily to organize and determine access to location-based contact groups within the platform.
Location information is not included in the VCF files generated for other participants.
10. Account and Technical Information
In addition to the information expressly provided during registration, Leargit may process information reasonably necessary for account registration, account authentication, login, security, and operation of the website.
This may include technical information generated through ordinary website and account operation.
Such information may be used to:
– Authenticate users;
– Maintain account sessions;
– Protect accounts and the platform;
– Detect and prevent abuse;
– Maintain website functionality; and
– Troubleshoot technical problems.
11. Premium Services and Changes to Access
Leargit may initially provide some functionality free of charge.
We may introduce limits on the number of files or contacts that a user may generate or access without payment.
We may also introduce premium plans or require payment for continued participation in certain Leargit features.
Our pricing, limits, eligibility requirements, and premium structure may change from time to time.
Leargit may also change from a free or partially free model to a fully premium model in which payment is required for new participation or continued access to certain features.
Any applicable premium terms, pricing, or limits will be communicated through the platform when introduced or changed.
12. Affiliate Programme
Leargit may operate an affiliate or referral programme.
Eligible users may receive a referral link or other referral mechanism that allows them to invite new participants to Leargit.
Where a referred participant subsequently purchases a premium service, the referring affiliate may receive a commission in accordance with the applicable affiliate programme terms.
Affiliates are provided with information necessary to determine their referral earnings.
Affiliates do not receive the personal information of referred users merely because those users joined through the affiliate’s referral.
13. Information Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect information held by Leargit against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, loss, or disclosure.
However, no Internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for keeping their account credentials confidential and should not share their passwords with other people.

Where such providers process information on behalf of Leargit, we seek to use appropriate safeguards and require processing to be consistent with the applicable purpose of the service.
The use of third-party services may change as Leargit develops.

You may also use the contact-removal functionality provided by Leargit to stop your submitted contact information from appearing in future VCF files.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Leargit may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, our practices, applicable law, or the services we provide.
When we make significant changes, we may provide an appropriate notice through the website or other available communication channels.
The updated Privacy Policy will become effective on the date indicated at the beginning of the revised policy.
18. Acceptance
By registering for and using Leargit, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to read this Privacy Policy and understand how Leargit collects, uses, and shares information as described above.
If you do not agree with the practices described in this Privacy Policy, you should not register for or use the Leargit contact-sharing services.
